Frequently asked questions
Will the slides look the same?
Yes, for normal presentations: slide size, themes, backgrounds, gradients, pictures, shapes, tables, charts, bullet lists and SmartArt are kept, one slide per page.
Are speaker notes or animations included?
No. The PDF shows each slide as it looks when the slide is fully built, without notes. Animations and transitions do not apply to PDFs.
Are hidden slides included?
Not unless you tick Include hidden slides.
Can I convert an old .ppt file?
Not yet. Open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or LibreOffice, save it as .pptx, then convert it here.
Is anything left out?
Bar, column, line, area, pie, doughnut and scatter charts are drawn from their data; other chart types are left out, and the tool tells you when a presentation has any. Shadows, reflections and 3D effects are left off, and videos show their cover picture. Fonts like Calibri are replaced with look-alikes of the same width.
Is it free, and is there a watermark?
Yes. It is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded?
Your file is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to our servers. The fonts (about 9 MB) are downloaded the first time and kept by your browser.
