How to use JPG to Word
- Choose one or more images: JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC or WebP.
- Pick the language of the text. English is the default.
- Click Convert to Word and open the .docx in Word, Google Docs or Pages.
Frequently asked questions
Is the text editable, or just a picture in Word?
Editable. OCR (optical character recognition) reads the words in your image and writes them as real Word text, so you can change, copy and format it.
Can I convert several images into one document?
Yes. Add as many images as you like and they become one Word document, one page per image, in the order you added them.
Which image formats work?
JPG and JPEG, PNG, HEIC photos from iPhone, WebP, GIF and BMP.
How accurate is it?
Clear photos and scans of printed text convert well. Handwriting, very small text and blurry or angled photos are harder, so check names and numbers against the original.
Is it free, and is there a watermark?
Yes. It is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded?
Your file is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to our servers.
